本編の『スペイン著作家別書誌解題目録』は全70巻に及ぶM・リヴァデネイラ(1805-1872)の労作で、本書はこのスペインで最も基本的な解題目録を利用するためリヴァデネイラの死後に編纂された総合索引(シリーズとしては第71巻)である。著者名、書名、内容、書き出し、著者名での検索が可能。
